The original Chuck Taylor is the classic sneaker design and was first made in the 1910s. You may recognize Chuck Taylors worn by nearly every boy in the classic prep movie Dead Poets Society. They were named for the famous basketball player who wore them and worked with Converse to improve their design.
Jack Purcells, like Chuck Taylors, are also made by Converse and were designed with the help of the world champion badminton player. See these great photos on Unabashedly Prep of Jack Purcells on the tennis court as part of the Save Khaki look book.
The Krona Linen is our favorite tennis shoe by Tretorn, a long favored brand.
Next we feature the Sring Court canvas sneaker which is sold by J.Press. And finally a couple Sperrys including a slip-on (no laces) and the classic Brooks Brothers white canvas deck sneaker.
